Beyond the operation

Cataract surgery is a walk-in procedure which is carried out in under half an hour under local anaesthetic, although a general anaesthetic is used for children so that they are unconscious and can be sure of feeling no pain.

Once the opaque lens has been removed and replaced with an intraocular lens, your patient is ready to leave the clinic but will need certain items for perfect recuperation: dark glasses, eye patch, eye drops… Don’t worry, we have a kit with everything you need.
